Ian's Point of View
"What the hell are you doing here, Alex?" demanded Ian.
"I was in town on business when I heard that our cousin was stabbed on the news. So, I thought I'd come see if you were okay." said Alex.
Ian gave the black haired man a hard stare.
"Like I've ever mattered to you before." he growled.
"Ian, you know that I care about you. You are my little brother after all."
"Yeah, sure."
"Don't you think you should invite me in?" asked Alex.
Alex moved to enter the apartment, but was blocked by a strong arm. Alex looked into the apartment and spotted Riley.
"And who do we have here?" asked Alex.
"None of your business." answered Ian shortly.
"Oh, I think it is. As your big brother its my job to know who you hang out with. So, why don't you let me in so I can meet your friend."
Ian took a step forward.
"You need to leave."
"Ian."
"Now, Alex. Before I call the police."
Brown eyes widened.
"Alright, Ian. Just remember, I'll be in town for a few weeks. I'll be dropping by to check on you every now and then." Alex said as he turned to leave.
"Whatever."
Ian slammed the door on his brother and spun around. He stalked right past Riley without looking at him and headed for his room. Ian slammed the door behind him and fell onto his bed.
'How the hell did he find me?!' he thought furiously.
Ian sighed. Knowing Alex, he probably black mailed someone to tell him where Kylie's apartment was. Ian buried his face in his pillow. Why did he have to show up now? Ian's life had been going so well, why did Alex have to show up and ruin it? He had a great place to live, he had a great friend in Josh, and he had Riley. But now that was all over. Ian had a feeling that as long as his brother was in town, his life was going to be a living hell. After a while, there was a knock at the door. When Ian didn't answer, the door opened and Riley came in.
"Ian?"
Ian rolled his head so that he could watch Riley with one eye. Riley walked over and sat down on the edge of Ian's bed.
"You okay?" he asked.
Ian gave him a small smile.
"I'm fine."
"Ian.."
A blue eye closed and Ian sighed.
"Alright, I'm not fine."
"Who was that?"
"My brother."
Riley blinked.
"You never told me you had a brother."
"I don't really like to talk about my family, especially my brother."
"Is he really that bad?" asked Riley.
"You have no idea, Riley."
"What was with him not saying Kylie's name?"
"He hates her."
"Why? I mean, she is way crazy, but there's not much to hate." said Riley.
Ian chuckled and rolled over onto his side.
"Yeah, she is crazy. But that's not why he hate her."
"Then what is?"
"Its because of how close I am to her."
Riley raised a silver eyebrow.
"Well, that's weird."
"I know. But Alex has always been super possessive of me. He think its his job to be the center of my life. I honestly think he's crazy."
"Sound to me like someone sniffed too much paint thinner when he was a kid."
Ian laughed and sat up and wrapped his arms around Riley's shoulders. He then let himself fall back onto his pillow, dragging Riley with him. Riley gave a shout of protest before Ian's lips meet his. The kiss was different then the one before. It was deep and heated, as if Ian was trying sure that Riley was really there. Ian moved his arms down to Riley's waist, and sighed when he felt Riley's hands buried themselves in his hair. They broke apart and Ian looked into Riley's eyes.
"Riy?"
"Mmm?" mumbled a slightly flushed Riley.
"I love you."
Riley lowered his head so that his and Ian's foreheads were pressed together.
"I love you too, Ian."
Ian tightened his arms around Riley's waist and rolled over onto his side, smiling when Riley yelped in surprise. Ian pulled Riley so that the smaller teen was tucked as close to his chest as possible.
"Ian?" asked Riley as he tried to look up at the copper haired teen.
"Shh."
"Why?"
"I'm tired."
"Then I'll let you get some sleep."
Riley went to get up, but Ian pulled him back in.
"I wanna sleep like this." he mumbled.
Riley blushed into Ian's chest.
"...Fine..."
Ian smiled into that wonderful, spicy silver hair. This is how life was supposed to be like, here with Riley in the place he felt the safest. The only thing that would have made this better would to have Kylie back home, minus the hole in her side. Ian sighed. This was just fine, this right here. And he wan't about to let Alex screw it up.
'Not this time. Not ever again.' he thought as he drifted off to sleep, happy to have Riley so close.
