Ian's Point of View
Ian blinked as a strand of hair tickled his nose. He looked down and smiled when he saw Riley. The smaller teen had part of his face hidden in the blanket and a cheek pressed onto Ian's chest. Ian sighed happily as he laid his head back on his pillow and ran a hand through Riley's silver hair. Riley moved at the touch and looked up with sleepy violet eyes.
"Hey." said Ian.
"Hi." mumbled Riley.
"So.."
"What?"
"Was that warm enough for you?"
Riley's eyes shot open and he jumped off the bed, taking the blanket with him, and stalked towards Ian's bathroom. Ian groaned and got up to follow. When he went to open the door, he found that it was locked. He sighed and sat down with his back to the door.
"Riley, open the door."
"Fuck off!" came Riley's angry voice.
"Come on. I need to get cleaned up, too. We promised Kylie that we'd visit her today."
"Then why don't you go use her bathroom." Riley said flatly.
"Because she's never lets me use it."
"Why the hell not?"
"Girls protective of her whirlpool tub. She thinks I'll break it."
There was silence from the other side of the door. Ian sighed again and sat with his eyes closed. He sat there for a few minutes until he started to shiver.
"Riley....Come on....I'm cold...." he said as he used the back of his head to knock on the bathroom door.
With no answer, Ian just kept hitting his head on the door.
"Riley, I'm really starting to get cold out here.."
Suddenly, the door swung open and Ian fell back and hit his head even harder on the tiled floor. He curled up and held the back of his head with both of his hands. Ian looked up at a fuming Riley and grinned. Riley glared down at him, but gave up when Ian's grin just got bigger.
"Next time you feel the need to say something stupid, don't."
Ian chuckled and stood up. Before Riley could do anything, Ian grabbed him and pulled him into a strong hug. Riley tried to pull away, but stopped when Ian sighed into his ear.
"Riley?"
"Hmm?"
"I'm sorry I made you mad." he breathed into Riley's ear.
Ian smiled as he felt Riley melt in his arms, and started for the shower. He reached in and turned on the water. When it was warm enough, he stepped in and pulled Riley in after him. The two of them stood there and let the warm water pour over them, Ian holding Riley close. When the water started to get cold, they washed up and got out. They dried off and went to get dressed in Ian's room. When they were ready, Ian and Riley went down and got into Ian's truck and drove to the hospital. On the way Riley was pressed up against Ian, even though the heater was turned all the way up. Ian pulled the truck into a spot and the two teens got out. As they walked towards the entrance, Riley pressed up against Ian to try and keep warm. Ian smiled and wrapped his arm around the shorter teen's shoulders and pulled him closer. They walked into the hospital and made there way towards Kylie's room. Ian took his arm from Riley and knocked on the door.
"Yo!!" can Kylie's voice.
Ian laughed and Riley rolled his eyes as they went in. Kylie was sitting up with her back up against the raised back of the bed and had the radio turned 101.9. As she listened a deep scowl marred her face.
"You okay, Kylie?" asked Ian.
"No." she said in a cross voice.
"What's wrong?"
"The guy they got to take my place sucks!!"
"I thought you only did the late night spot." said Riley.
"I do. I stayed up late last night so I could hear the guy. And he sucks!"
"Chill out, Kylie. Its not forever. Just till you get the okay to go back to work." said Ian as he tried to calm down is cousin.
"Yeah, yeah. I just want to get the hell out of this hospital and into my own bed. This one is way to hard." she said and crossed her arms.
Ian laughed and sat down in the chair next to the bed, and Riley leaned against the wall next to Ian. Kylie groaned as she shut off the radio and looked at her cousin. She could tell something was different about him. She glanced back at Riley and saw that he had the same look on his face.
"Hey, Riley?" she asked.
"Yeah?"
"Why don't you grab some money from my wallet and go get us some coffee or something." she said as she pointed to her bag that was hanging from the back of the bathroom door.
Riley shrugged and took a 20 and went out the door. Once the door was closed, Kylie turned to look at Ian. Ian glanced at his cousin.
"What?"
"Sooooo......."
"Yeah?"
"How was it?"
Ian blinked and looked at Kylie.
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh, I think you know what I'm talking about."
"Do you even know what you're talking about?"
"Yes, yes I do. And I want to know if you had fun."
Ian turned a slight pink and turned away. Kylie laughed so hard that she had to grab her side.
"Ian, its okay. What you tell me will stay just between us."
Ian looked back over at his cousin.
"Fine. But if you say anything to anyone, I'll put you back in that bed."
"You have my word."
"It was....great. I mean, we didn't go all the way, but still."
"So, does that mean you...?"
Ian chuckled.
"Yeah, it means I love him."
"I'm really happy for you, Ian. You deserve someone like Riley after what happened."
Ian's shoulders fell and his eyes grew distant.
"Ian?"
He looked over at Kylie and saw the worried look in her eyes. He sighed and braced himself.
"Alex found me last night."
"What? He didn't see Riley did he?"
"Yeah, he saw Riley. And I don't think he liked it."
Kylie groaned and leaned her head on the pillow behind her.
"You know, you're going to have to tell Riley about it. Before Alex gets the chance."
"I know. I just...I don't know how to tell him without freaking him out. I don't want to lose him, Kylie."
Kylie reached out and took Ian's hand.
"I know you don't. And I don't want you to lose him either. I can tell that the two of you really care for each other. And I promise, when I get out of here, I'm going to whatever I can to keep that ass-hole of a brother away from you two."
"Thanks, Kylie." Ian said as he squeezed his cousin's hand.
"I just need you to do one thing." she said.
"Yeah?"
"Promise me you'll tell Riley the truth about Alex."
Ian looked at his cousin, then turned his head and closed his eyes. After awhile, he opened them and looked out the window.
"I promise, Kylie. I'll tell him everything."
Oh, what kind of secret is Ian hiding about Alex? What did Alex do that was so bad that it made his own brother hate him? I guess you'll just have to keep an eye out for the next chapter to find out! Thanks again to everyone who reads My Angel and especially to those of you who fave and comment on the chapters. You know who you are and you all rock!!! I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter. Maybe a lemon, maybe not. We'll just have to see what kind of magic my fingers work ;)
